Meet Mrs. Alisha Williams

Alisha Williams

What is your role at Wright?

I teach 4th and 5th grade Bible, Math, and Science!

What brought you to Wright?

God and my great friend Nichole Brookman! I was prayerful that at some point God would allow me to be back in the classroom, in HIS timing. I am able to be at school with my son and in an environment where he is surrounded by other believers, which was my prayer all along for his future.

What is one of your goals for this school year?

My goal is for us to be protected by this virus and remain in person this whole year. Also, to fill these children with the Love of Jesus and learning. My ultimate goal is that the seeds I am planting will develop into even just one child giving their life to Christ!

Tell us a little about yourself:

I am an Oklahoma transplant and was born in Memphis, TN. I lived in Olive Branch, MS most of my life until college. I was married at age 20 to my high school sweetheart. We have been married for almost 15 years and together 20 years this month. We have one son named Arlie Williams (named after his great-granddad). We were once foster parents to two other little boys whom we loved dearly. Before teaching at WCA I was a stay-at-home mom for 10 years. I used to participate in Crossfit competitions before moving to OK and it was a huge part of my life for nearly 5 years. I love all things health and wellness,  love children, and teaching them. I would say that I have a servant’s heart and love doing for others more so than myself!

What do you like to do in your free time?

In my free time, I like to work out, do crafts, anything that has to do with organizing or serving, visit family, TRAVEL, and just enjoy being a mom and wife!

What is your favorite Bible story or verse?

My favorite bible verse is Joshua 1:9 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

To me, this verse tells me that with God I shouldn’t worry, never be scared, or let the things of this life bring your spirits down. Instead, be strong and bold in your faith and know that whatever mountains or valleys we are facing in life that our God is with us. He is NOT surprised by the things of this world and will be right by our side every step of the way.
